  • Overview

    The Program Coordinator will work under the direction of the Vice President of Meetings and Membership. The Membership team coordinates the selection process of new members, and serves as the front-facing department for CFR’s 5,000 members in order to enhance their member experience.

    The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):

    • Develop and manage systems and procedures to meet Membership’s information and prospecting needs
    • Research and identify leaders involved in or connected to international relations
    • Manage, update, and maintain contact records on individuals and membership trends and statistics
    • Compile and analyze information and build prospect profiles from a variety of sources and present information clearly
    • Maintain information files and membership information systems and prioritize action items
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure priorities for membership growth, and diversity and inclusion are met
    • Provide support to the membership team on member activation, mailings, and database management
    • Staff new member events, CFR meetings, and conferences
    • Working closely with the membership team in support of overall departmental priorities


    • Bachelor’s degree in international relations or a related field with high academic achievement
    • 2-3 years related experience in high-profile organization with proficiency in research and information acquisition
    • Excellent computer skills in MS Word and Excel, and database management
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading
    • Detail-oriented with ability to manage a range of responsibilities and projects with high efficiency and follow through
    • Ability to independently prioritize competing deadlines and manage a high volume of work in a timely manner
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with discretion
