  • Overview

    The Event Associate will provide support to the Event Management team in the Washington office. 

    The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):

    • Working closely with the Event Management team to schedule all CFR events in the Washington office.
    • Managing catering orders, logistics and staffing for all Studies Department meetings including working closely with event leads to ensure a successful event.
    • Assisting in staffing all meetings and Special Events.
    • Providing administrative support to the Events Management team through assisting with inventory control, processing bills, ordering supplies, and drafting client documents.
    • Compiling event reports for the Special Events department and CFR events.
    • Overseeing the arrangements for and operations of audio visual needs and equipment for CFR and Special Events.
    • Handling routine office functions such as maintaining the appearance of conference space and ensuring proper operation of equipment.

    Qualifications

    • BA in hospitality, event management, communications or marketing preferred but not required.
    • 1-2 years event, customer service or hospitality experience.
    • Highly experienced in MS Word, Excel and email, database experience preferred.
    • Strong interest in meetings and events. 
    • Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills and phone manner.
    • Experience in handling and prioritizing multiple tasks and excellent time management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively on a team, as well as independently.
