The Council on Foreign Relations is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to provide project support for various design needs across the digital organization. This position reports directly to the Director, Design & User Experience. In this position, you will be collaborating and working alongside the think tank, editorial, product, and technology to define the experience across CFR.org.
Five years of related design experience working on a digital design team
Portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of interactives design formats and methodologies; include wireframes, annotations, flows, and mid-fidelity interactions
Experience designing for online news and information or other content-rich sites
Ability to engage with others to cultivate an environment of learning and constructive dialogue
Ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines
Professional-level knowledge of industry standard design software (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
Interest in current events and foreign policy
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in visual design, human interaction, or related field
Knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience working with an agile team including designers, developers, strategists, and marketers a plus.
