Overview

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) creates innovative educational resources that seek to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and perspective—the global literacy—required to understand the forces, ideas, and institutions that shape today’s world. These resources include CFR Education multimedia explainers and simulations. Each resource comes with companion teaching resources and activities appropriate for a specific target audience, be it high school teachers, college professors, and/or their students.

 

Working under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Marketing Communications and the Senior Manager, Education Marketing, The Program Assistant, Education Marketing will maintain and support the implementation of marketing activities for the department.

The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintain marketing reporting, including assets tracking.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain reporting from external sources.
  • Summarize monthly, quarterly, and year-over-year reports.
  • Manage email list requests, and provide email execution support as needed.
  • Format, quality check (QC), and upload emails.
  • Provide administrative and planning support for conference attendance.
  • Assist in planning and implementation support for all CFR Education events.
  • Assist in researching new and existing partner basics, updating information, as needed.
  • Assist with social media posts, as needed.
  • Maintain a database of invoices, receipts, vendor agreements, financial statements, budget burn downs, and other necessary documentation to maintain marketing functions.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support for uploading new vendors, tracking spending, and managing invoices.
  • Communicate consistently with the Program Assistant, Education, to ensure all marketing expenses and burn down are reflected in the departmental budget.
  • Monitor email inboxes, communicating information, as needed, to supervisors.
  • Format emails, slides, and handouts as needed.
  • Assist in formatting and template creation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with high academic achievement preferred.
  • Previous experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a marketing or education-related environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and familiarity with CRM software, SailThru and/or Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in international relations preferred

Pay Range

$55,000 to $58,000 per year

Pay commensurate with experience and education
